Do you have COPD or a condition that causes inflammation in your body like arthritis or others?

These conditions will definitely cause a bad reaction with humidity.

Or you could be taking medications that might cause the overreaction to humidity. The same way that people taking certain medications have to avoid direct sunlight.

See your doctor and tell him to do a full blood panel work up on you and fond out why.

Interesting and I hope you come back and tell us what is discovered.

I hate humity and my State is known for it. I gain water weight and it just drags me down. I was told I retain water because I do not sweat.

Interesting. You might consider a second opinion. I don't sweat -- never have (age 74). However, I have never retained water. I am in the mid-Atlantic and we just came off 3 weeks of almost 100 degrees (unusal for us)

I agree you need to tell us specifics about what happens to your face specifically when you encounter humidity. Also, does this occur in the shower as well? What is the outside temp when this happens? Do you get hives? Etc.
