We can’t  tell her anything, and she states the Drs are all wrong. She most likely has some dementia but never diagnosed. Mom has had an in dwelling catheter for over a year now due to not able to void herself. The bacterias in her UTIs are some of the very bad ones like ESBL. Is there anything that can be done to help with the constant recurring UTIs? She’s on a preventative low dose antibiotic and cranberry pill and has her catheter changed once a month. It is horrible to she mom go thru this. She is a nasty combative belligerent bear. Otherwise she is a very pleasant person. Thanks for any insight to be had.

Hi SusanGr, my Mom was getting many UTI’s (8 in a 12 month period) always treated with AB’s by her GP. We finally went to a urologist who prescribed estrogen cream. Mom hasn’t had a UTI since July! Maybe this could be an option for your Mom. Best of luck!

Have you tried D-Mannose? A lot of people on the forum recommend it.
