My mother has been hospitalized since January of this year due to Covid. From being in a hospital they transferred her to a long-term facility where she contracted Candida Auris. She is now in a sub-acute facility where the doctor informed me today that she might be coming home next week. This is GREAT news of course! But I worry about the Candida Auris. Do I need to worry about mom getting my 89-year-old father infected or even myself? Thank you!

I get thrush from time to time from using asthma inhalers, which is not quite the same thing as Candida Auris; for what it's worth, I've never transmitted it to my husband, even through kissing.
Good luck!
