I asked about taking care of a close friends father and how much to charge. Thank u all that responded . I declined the job . It's hard to not feel bad for not wanting to take care of someone especially someone we care about. I am one of those people that have a hard time saying no and usually end up in a situation I don't want to be in. I guess I needed more reasons than I don't want to because I can't and don't want to but with all ur responses I said no and I feel so much better. I took care of my mom 24/7 when she got ill and she passed away in my care. It's been 12 yrs and I still feel horrible I never want to experience that again especially someone else's parent. People seem to think if u clean houses you want to take care of people I don't know.how many times I've had to say I don't take care of people I clean houses. Just wanted to say thanks to all who responded it helped so much.

DD, my neighbor cleans house, and it turned into caregiving also. I didn't realize it's a thing.

Glad we can help, and glad you said no.

Sounds like your a little codependent. I told someone else the other day to read , Melody Beattys book "codependency, no more" you may want to pick it up.

Best of luck
