There is literally nothing that can't be pureed (well, almost), mom's nursing home even served her pureed caesar salad! Although I give them kudos for effort that really was a novelty that I don't think was worth the effort involved, better to stick with the kinds of foods that seem more "normal" in a smooth state - soups are my #1 recommendation because they are a fantastic way to to include a variety of foods and are easy to puree with an immersion blender, smoothies are my #2. Protein powders, custards, nutritional supplements in pudding and drink form (boost/ensure et al). Hot breakfast cereals like cream of wheat, oatmeal, cornmeal.

I used to puree everything I made for dinner.
My dad did the same for my Grandma way back in the 60's (his MIL by the way)
Later much of the things I made were turned into soup and thickened with extra veggies. So instead of a Sunday roast with mashed potatoes and green beans It was beef vegetable soup.
A good personal blender or small processor works wonders.
One of my Husbands favorite foods was pizza. I made the pizza with the Cauliflower crust and processed it and it tasted just like pizza!

By the way ...give her stuff she likes. If she wants Ice Cream..make her shakes, use Boost or Ensure or one of the other protein drinks in place of milk. If she likes cookies..soften cookies with milk or a protein drink and let her have cookies.

By the way if you are using a product like Miralax you can not add it to a product that you have thickened with one of the thickeners like ThickIt as the Miralax will thin out the thickened food.

My Mom likes Gerber pears stage 1. She doesn't seem to like the texture of some things anymore. She is 99.
