Who can transport my mother from Nevada to Indiana. How much will it cost?

This is almost 2000 miles. Not a small undertaking. There was a member who rented an RV. It worked for them. You have everything u need. A bed. A bathroom. Kitchen.

To move my MIL from Crystal Springs Fla to Atlanta GA by transport was going to cost 2k that was in 2013. One of the DILs was going with her. I thought how uncomfortable for 8 hours but the transport had a recliner in it. Was really nice.

The one thing u need to consider is Medicaid. It doesn't go over state lines. So the person being transported may have to establish residency in the new state before getting any benefits.

You can check out Angel Flights.

There are individuals that have motorhomes that transport people with medical conditions for a reduced rate. I don't remember the name, but a Google search should guide you.

You could also rent an RV and drive her yourselves, depending on the physical status.

My friend wanted to go home to Omaha, NE from Las Vegas, NV and it cost them 24k to have a medical plane take him. There was a nurse on board with him and an ambulance picked him up for transport to the hospital on landing. This was a separate fee.

My mom did not need a nurse, just an aid, we used a medical transport van to move her about 550 miles.  No bathroom in the van, just a portable commode.   When she needed to use it, they stopped and the aid assisted  her.  It cost about 3,500.  It would have been 5K if we wanted one with a working toilet.  We were able to ask for female aid.

Lots of money. I check into moving my dad about 600 miles via medical transport. Over $7 grand. We ended up moving him ourselves in our SUV. We all survived but it was one hellava trip.

Doug, cwillie is correct...can you give us more info on your Mom? If she needs no assistance perhaps a transport company could move her. I would call a few of your local nursing homes and ask what transport companies they use, then call them and get some prices and ideas. But if she will need assistance/meds/monitoring/help with toileting etc during this trip it may be more than a transport company could provide and she will need a caregiver along. Maybe just a helper, maybe a CNA, maybe a nurse? All depends.

That is really going to depend on how much medical oversight the patient needs, but generally if they need an ambulance and nurses the costs will be astronomical.
