I called to inquire about I'm falling and I can't get up medical alert bracelet.

I received the equipment but due to the cost monthly for 3 years and fees to install I want to return the equipment. So far my sales person has been rude and a bully. Can anyone give me an address in Calif. to return this equipment ?

I ask to speak to her supervisor but they connect to the saleslady.

Yesterday she told me that they care more about my life than I do since I want to cancel. I have signed nothing but did give them my information.

Thanks for any help I can get!

If you signed nothing then you aren't under contract. I would now call the BBB. Tell them what is going on and let them investigate. Just getting a call from them may change Life Alerts mind.

I used Life Alert. I have called at least a dozen times and have not installed it. That is another fee to install. You don't get paperwork before hand. They try to get me to sign a contract online but I haven't. The saleslady didn't tell me about the 36 month contract until after I had given her my info. They are slick! I think there is another contract in the box. I will look for an address in the box to return it. The company is supposed to send UPS to pick it up but no one will. They all want me to install it. I am going to go with another company if I can get this one returned.

I had no problem returning the equipment. I really don't remember how I returned it but I did. I used Phillips and never had that problem.

Call them again. Tell them you are now living in an AL and no longer need the device. That the rooms are set up with call buttons. Ask if you can get a return tag. Meaning at their expense.

Another idea. Push the button and talk to the operator. Tell her you no longer need the devise and can she help you. Lie if u have to.

Please, tell us who you used. People on the forum ask for recommendations.

Read the feedback on Life Alert. It sounds like if you are in AL, you must send the company paperwork from a Doctor and AL. They do not want you to cancel and lose $70 month.

Check the paperwork you got with the system. There should be an address for returns. Send it back return receipt requested and keep the receipt. Do not make any more payments. When you stop paying, they’ll call or write real fast. If it’s an automatic withdrawal on your credit card or bank account, call your credit card company or bank and put a stop payment on it. Next time, make sure you read the “fine print” as installation fees and monthly charges are usually stated pretty clearly.

I tried to block charges from Life Alert on my credit card but was told I couldn't. There is a charge for $96.00 showing but I won't find out who it is to until Monday.
