As she is in care now this is the ideal time to grab that social worker. She will give you pointers in the right direction to explore options.

Its really hard to get paid for caring for a LO. If Mom is competent, you could write up an agreement if she has the money. The agreement should have it notarized.

Medicaid, in some States, will pay a family member but it may be minimum wage and only a certain amount of hours. Mom has to meet the criteria. Call Office of Aging to see if they know of any programs.
