Find Care & Housing
When my Mom moved near us she wanted me to do everything. I finally convinced her to have a paid caregiver come in once a week or so to do light housekeeping, shopping, errands, etc. At first she resisted, now she looks forward to her visits. It gives her someone else to interact with and gives me a little break.
Also, when I make meals for myself I make a lot extra and freeze small portions in containers. That way I know Mom is getting a well balanced meal and she enjoys the variety. She used to love to cook, but like your Mom, is just too tired to do it now.
The deli idea is good if they are not on restricted diets. Some fast food has gotten a lot better too...like Boston Market Chicken dinners...Mom loves them.

Parents live in their home....one sister lives close but is on probation for a year so she can only go once a week, another sister lives 30 minutes away and she goes once a week to clean, I live 1 1/2 hrs. and go every couple weeks. Dad only wants mom to help him, but he has been allowing the youngest sister to help him shower. Suggested to mom to take advantage of the grocery deli that has prepared food. She is tired and doesn't want to cook. Thanks for suggestions.

Are Mom and Dad living in their home, a facility, or with you? My first reaction was in-home care a few days a week, but they may need more care than that.
Are you (or other family members) able to help out? Are your parents refusing help (very common)?
Let us know...
