My name is Isaac . I live in a Assisted living Community. In addition ; I have absolutely no income . My question is : will Ohio Medicaid Asseted Living Wavier Program pay a portion of my room and board . Or , will they pay 100 % of my room and board ?
In my State, Medicaid can only be used, if excepted by the AL I am living in, if I have paid privately for at least two years. And then only if they have not hit their quota for Medicaid residents. Once on Medicaid your SS and any pension you may receive goes toward your care. You will get a Personal needs amount from your SS. My State thats $50 a month.
This is a question for your ALF. If they do not accept Medicaid patients you may be faced with a move. Ask them, if this is the case, what assistance they can give you in finding an extended care facility that accepts Medicaid. I surely do wish you good luck. As you can imagine, we here have no familiarity with the place where you currently are staying. I hope you will update us with what you learn as you go.

As to your question, I would take this to your al. Not all ALs accept Medicaid
