We never hire independent contractors and our home health aides are all paid according to the state and federal tax regulations and covered in accordance with all worker’s compensation laws so that the client and their family have nothing to worry about. This is not the case with many other "agencies" who erroneously apply "1099 status" to their caregivers and operate under a staffing agency model that leaves the client's family liable for substantial risks related to payroll taxes, social security withholdings, unemployment laws, workers compensation, scheduling coordination, overtime laws, and caregiver supervision.
