Since 1987, Griswold Home Care, a non-medical home care office, has been referring caregivers to help people in Delaware stay safely and independently in their homes. The office is licensed with the State of Delaware as a “Personal Assistance Services Agency” (PASA).
Our license permits us to refer caregivers to provide personal care, homemaking and companionship services. The carefully screened professional caregivers provide flexible hourly, overnight or live-in care. For those people coping with Alzheimer’s and dementia or families needing respite, the Griswold-referred caregivers step in to give peace or mind and support in the home.
We refer caregivers who offer adults and senior care from short term hourly to long term live-in and every scenario in between.
Hello, I am Anne Eidschun, Director and one of the owners of Griswold Home Care in New Castle County. As a Certified Senior Advisor, and Certified Financial Planner, my 30 years of experience working with seniors have enabled me to lead our team in serving our clients well. I am an active speaker at the libraries, senior centers, churches and volunteer organizations in New Castle County and I enjoy these opportunities to engage with members of the community.
Prior to coming to Griswold Home Care, while working full time, I was a family caregiver for two years – working a full day and helping my loved one throughout the night. My responsibilities included meal preparation, socialization, assisting with personal hygiene and attending to any other requested needs. I relay this story because I have walked in the shoes of a family caregiver and I understand the concerns that clients and family members experience when there is a necessary transition to caregiving from complete independence.
Community involvement is very important to me and I have participated on many Boards over the years. Currently, I serve on the Mid-County Senior Center Board, I’m a member of the Advisory Group of the Delaware Association of Home and Community Care, and a member of the Delaware Business Resource Network. In 2012, I had the privilege of being President of the Rotary Club of Wilmington.
I look forward to speaking with you at any time to review your personal situation or that of a loved one who might need assistance at home.
