Just read a post about someone wanting to sell Medical equipment and how.

I worked for a Visiting Nurse Assoc that had a medical equipment loan closet. We asked for a small deposit to guarantee it would be returned. Even that and keeping good records we lost a lot of our equipment. One man brought back some that his neighbor was throwing out (cleaning out deceased house) because he saw our stickers asking for its return.

When using Medicare please make sure that Medicare isn't renting the equipment for you. This equipment needs to be returned to the place of purchase or supplier.

This goes for Hospice too. That equipment is being supplied and Hospice is responsible for picking it up when no longer needed.

So what I am saying is to make sure a LOs equipment is really theirs before discarding.
